This Privacy Policy explains how Magicwork Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("Magicwork", "we", "us") handles personal data received through this website, magicwork.in: what we collect, why we use it, how long we keep it, who we share it with and the rights you have. We handle personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"), under which Magicwork is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here, and, for people in the United Arab Emirates, the UAE Personal Data Protection Law.

Personal data we collect

  • Enquiry form (Contact page): your name, email address, phone number, organisation, area of interest, region, indicative budget and message.
  • Application form (Careers page): your name, email address, phone number, current city, hiring track, experience, the links you give to your profile, portfolio or CV, and your note to us.
  • When you send a form: the address of the page you sent it from, your network (IP) address and your browser type, which we use to protect the forms against spam and abuse.
  • When you visit: like most websites, our web server records basic technical information in its logs (network address, browser type, the pages requested and the time) to keep the website secure and working.
  • When you write, call or message us: the details you choose to share, for example by email or on WhatsApp.

This website uses no analytics or advertising trackers and does not use cookies to follow you. Its fonts and scripts are served from our own server, so visiting it does not share your details with other companies. If you pick a capability and continue to the enquiry form, your browser remembers that choice for the current tab only, so the form can select it for you.

Why we use it

  1. To respond to your enquiry and discuss the services, platforms or programmes you asked about.
  2. To assess your job application and contact you about roles at Magicwork.
  3. To keep the website and its forms secure, including preventing spam and abuse.
  4. To meet our legal obligations, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We send you news or marketing only if you ask for it. We do not sell, rent or lease personal data.

Your consent

Each form asks for your consent before you send it, and we use what you send only for the purpose the form describes. You can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, by writing to support@magicwork.in. We will then stop using your personal data for that purpose and erase it, unless the law requires us to keep it. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

How we store and protect it

Form submissions are delivered by email to our team at support@magicwork.in. So that no enquiry is lost, a private copy is also kept on our web server, in a protected folder that cannot be reached over the web. Access is limited to the people at Magicwork who need it to respond to you.

We use reasonable security safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, to protect personal data against unauthorised access, use, alteration, disclosure or loss. If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Act requires.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as the purpose it was given for requires: an enquiry for as long as we are discussing or delivering the work it concerns, and an application for as long as we are considering you for a role. We then erase it, unless the law requires us to keep it for longer. Technical records used for security and spam protection are kept only as long as that purpose needs them.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only:

  • with service providers who help us run the website, email and our business, such as our hosting and email providers, and only as far as they need it to do that work for us;
  • with Magicwork's affiliates, where that is needed to answer your enquiry or application;
  • where the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Magicwork, our users or others.

Our team and our service providers may handle personal data in India and in the other countries where they work, with the protections described in this policy.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can:

  • ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, how we use it and who we have shared it with;
  • ask us to correct, complete or update your personal data, or to erase it;
  • withdraw your consent, as described above;
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights for you in the event of your death or incapacity;
  • raise a grievance with us about how we handle your personal data and, if you are not satisfied with our response, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, write to support@magicwork.in. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request. If you are in the United Arab Emirates, you can make the same requests under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law.

Children

This website is meant for businesses and job seekers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, write to us and we will erase them.

Other websites

Our pages link to services run by other companies, such as LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, X and WhatsApp. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for how they handle your data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
